MONTGOMERY COUNTY JAIL

STATUS: Complete

This 214,906 sf, nine-story, 736 bed jail addition and 200 bed renovation is located on a hillside immediately adjacent to the existing jail and Criminal Justice Center. A new two-story public entrance connects the two existing buildings to the addition creating a unified facility. The addition houses medical, sallyport, booking, firing range, courtroom, support space, elevated parking deck and four levels of inmate housing. The project included the addition, renovation of 30,000 sf existing jail, public entrance, renovation of the Criminal Justice Center and demolition of a circa 1957 jail.
