CARTWRIGHT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

STATUS: Construction

Cartwright Elementary School in Bedford County, Tennessee will be a roughly 120,000 SF two-story facility, housing approximately 850 students ranging in age from Pre-K to 5th grade. The future school will boast several sustainable design features, including interior sky lighting and geothermal energy. Cartwright Elementary will feature a Multi-Functioning Gymnasium/Auditorium, as well as a state-of-the-art Media Center and spacious Cafeteria. Each grade is grouped into individual corridors. Wayfinding techniques have been implemented by assigning each corridor a unique color, so students of all ages are able to easily navigate their school. Parking spaces for this facility include 100-150 for cars and 12-20 for school buses.
